Barbara Sasso
Faculty Advisor
Ms. Sasso was born in the Bronx and still speaks fluent New Yorkese. On occasion, she will dazzle her students with recitations of Shakespearean sonnets using a strong Bronx accent. In one past life she played guitar, piano and French horn. She was once in possession of a Gibson fire-red SG electric guitar, and played guitar and sang in a band called "More Cheese Please". Today, she can still cover two scales on a French horn and plays piano into headphones. In a separate past life she worked for PBS, and was the person who made sure Mr. Roger's was on TV every morning at six in the morning. She made films for almost every U.S. Federal government administration, and taught film making at COOP High School and ECA. Another past life took her to Paris, France, where she worked as anau pair. In another life, she worked for a mammoth international New York law firm. In a different life she raised two sons, studied Shakespeare at the Globe Theater and Chaucer in the East End of London. Still another life brought her to Wilbur Cross High School. Life is an endlessly fascinating journey.
